Professional Skills
Innovative Mindset
As a freshman, I got involved as a member of the Undergraduate Linguistics Society. I noticed that not many people were attending the club's meetings and assumed it was because not many poepl knew about them. I posed the idea of creating an Instagram account for the club to increase outreach and engagement. This new idea led to the expansion of the club in the following year from an average of 6 members to 17 per meeting! Since then I have been honing this skills to come up with ideas that will best beneit my academic and career goals.
Teamwork & Collaboration
During my time at UF, I found many opportunities to work with others . While serving as an ambassador for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, I worked alongside my peers to ensure the succesful of various events for doemstic and international students alike. We also worked together to accurately represent the students of CLAS and the kinds of opportunities they may be interested in.
Creative
As a person of many hobbies, I wondered how I could use my creativity to contribute to my globalized educational experience. I decided to take courses in social media management so that I could create content for my extracurriculars as well as for personal use that reaches broader audiences while still being succesful. As a result, I earned a certification in Social Media Marketing !
Leadership
I have taken on many leadership roles since starting the International Scholars Program. Particularly, as President of the Undergraduate Linguistics Society, I have created a space for students who speak multiple languages and/or are interested in the study of language to express themselves and learn comfortably amongst their peers!
